Who We Are
Ranil Waliwitiya is the founder and former CEO/President of Active AgriScience, a company he led from its inception in 2013 through its successful acquisition in 2023. Under his leadership, he also spearheaded the company’s research and development efforts, driving innovation at the highest level.
His career is distinguished by a deep commitment to R&D, with prior director-level roles at ATP Nutrition and Technaflora Plant Products.
Dr. Waliwitiya’s academic credentials are equally impressive, culminating in a PhD in Toxicology from Simon Fraser University, complemented by an MSc in Plant Science from the University of British Columbia and a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka.
